Perthfect
I consider to start writing in English, due to how my brain works after 4 month abroad. Let's give it a go and see how it rolls.
I'll start with excusing for my late update but it just haven't been so much happening since I last updated the blog.
I left the Mining camp and headed into Kalgoorlie where I celebrated my hard earned money with doing two courses. I really hoped it would help me out to get me in as a Fitter/Mechanic in the mining industry.
So I spend half of my month budget learning to climb a ladder and that confined spaces is a dangerous place.
I was a little to fast with my decisions and after spending two days back in school I really thought that employers would love to have a gorges Swede like me on their team. Sadly that wasn't the case, I needed to get my trade recognized and get back to school again, and get all the paperwork from Sweden.
I'm not the guy that usually give up easily but this time I was defeated. I decided after two hot nights in the back of the car that it was time to head back to Perth.
The drive went good and my iron horse took me safely back to the Indian Ocean. It felt good to come back to the social life at the hostel. After celebrating Spaghetti Saturday and St.Patrick's I thought that it would be a great time to go up north.
I checked out Friday night but decided after 200 km that it was no fun and I lost the love and feeling for it. I did a U-turn, camped in a ditch and checked back in at the hostel the following morning.
I looked after a job in Perth ever since and I slowly lowered my expectations day by day but so far I got work as a weekend Paintball Marshall/Referee and Sentry work at a shutdown in the middle of April.
I hit a new low standard today and advertised myself on Gumtree as a Awesome Swedish bloke looking for some part-time work.
I did some volunteer work as a Bartender at a Rooftop Cinema in Perth which was really fun, meet a bunch of new people and got some free beer and popcorn to the movie.
I also applied for a weeks work as a tractor driver that didn't exist. Sadly I didn't realize it before I drove 150 km out to nowhere.
That's about it, the situation is a little bad but not catastrophic just yet. Difficult days get me thinking about how great home is and it's really easy to get homesick on those days. You just need to appreciate what you got at the moment and do the best of it!
